Working as special servicer, it’s always our mission to maximise the return to the client of any securitised or balance sheet loan. First, we work with the primary servicer to coordinate the transition of an asset from primary servicing to special servicing. We then coordinate with the borrower to understand the reasons for the default and, if possible, work with them to overcome these issues in a workout and restructure of the debt that is beneficial for the client as well as achievable for the borrower.

Special servicing is about exploring the options: reviewing all alternatives from non-litigious workout to complex litigation – always with an eye to maximising the return to the investors.
