Clarence E. Dixon, Managing Director
Clarence E. Dixon has worked in the financial services industry for more than 20 years having worked in or managing companies in Japan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

Prior to joining Hatfield Philips in August of 2008, Clarence was a Managing Director of Crown Northcorp Inc, based in Austin Texas, and was responsible for Crown Global Business Development as well as German primary and special servicing platforms. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Crown Mortgage Management Ltd. Clarence was also instrumental in establishing Germany’s first and largest 3rd party Mortgage Servicer which grew to hold over 13 billion Euro in assets under management within four years. Before working with Deutsche Bank as Director of Global Commercial Card Payments, Clarence also spent 14 years with the US Dept of State managing financial services and process for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. Clarence has authored numerous articles for European financial services publications, is a member of CMSA, the International Banker Forum and is a guest lecturer at the Bank Academy in Mannheim, Germany.


Mark C. Miller, Managing Director
Mark Miller, along with Clarence Dixon, is responsible for the daily management and operations of all Hatfield Philips International units. Mr. Miller primarily focuses on oversight of HPI’s Special Servicing operations. He has over 15 years of active commercial real estate and loan workout experience. From 1993 to 2008, Mr. Miller worked with the current parent company of HPI, LNR Property Corporation. He was based in LNR’s Atlanta office, where his primary responsibilities were commercial loan workouts, commercial real estate asset management, and acquisitions and development. From 1998 to 2002, he was responsible for the creation and management of LNR’s Eastern Region Acquisition and Development Team. During this period, LNR’s Eastern Region acquired and or developed over 24 projects with an overall asset value in excess of $800 million USD. In 2002, Mr. Miller moved to Europe in order to assist in the establishment of a European operation, including acquisition of European commercial real estate, CMBS bonds, and non-performing loan portfolios. Mr. Miller was instrumental in creating the German NPL servicing platform, which was responsible for the resolution of €500m of commercial and residential sub-performing and non-performing loans. Mr. Miller graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Accounting, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1989. Mr. Miller has an MBA from Georgia State University.


Amanda Little, Director of Primary Servicing
Amanda Little joined Hatfield Philips in April 2002 originally as an Asset Manager; subsequently elevating through the ranks to an Associate Director and now Director of Primary Servicing (August 2008). In this role she is responsible for the coordination of asset managers and analysts working on complex commercial mortgage loan transactions. She also manages HPI’s client relationships in the Primary Servicing division.

Amanda is well versed in lender/borrower relationships, having been involved in several sub-performing and non performing transactions.

Amanda has 20 years of industry experience and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.


Matthew Grefsheim, Director of Special Servicing
Matthew Grefsheim joined Hatfield Philips International and LNR Asset Services in November 2008 as Director of Special Servicing. Matthew has 19 years experience managing the workout of troubled loans and commercial real estate assets. Matthew has worked with the Resolution Trust Corporation. He moved to a private equity group as a purchaser of non performing loans and real estate tax liens as well as real estate development projects in Washington DC and Baltimore, MD. He was also an asset manager at Crimi Mae responsible for more than $200 million in delinquent loans. In 2004, Mr Grefsheim moved to London as the director of European special servicing operations for Morgan Stanley Mortgage Servicing. By the time Matthew left Morgan Stanley in 2008 he was an Executive Director in charge of primary and special servicing asset management for Morgan Stanley’s European commercial and residential securitised and balance sheet loan portfolios totalling approximately $25bn.


Mike Brown, Director of Asset Administration
Mike Brown joined Hatfield Philips at its formation in 1997 as an Asset Manager, to Special Service non performing commercial loans originated by Barclays Mercantile, where he had previously spent 11 years. Following HPI rating as a Primary and Special Servicer by both Fitch and Standard & Poor's in 1999 he was appointed Loan Servicing and Administration Manager and was instrumental in the introduction of the companies first loan servicing systems. In 2003 he was also appointed company secretary and treasurer of Hatfield Philips. Mr. Brown moved in 2006 to Morgan Stanley Mortgage Servicing as Vice President for the servicing of their commercial loans in London, Frankfurt and Rome. In November 2008 he rejoined Hatfield Philips as Director of Asset Administration with responsibilities for the companies' borrower compliance and loan servicing teams.


Dr. Stewart Hotston, Director of Compliance and Reporting
Stewart Hotston joined Hatfield Philips in 2009 as Director of the Compliance and Reporting functions. The reporting function manages interaction with the market, including the publication of CMSA standard reports for each and every securitised deal serviced by Hatfield Philips. The compliance function works to ensure Hatfield Philips is adequately placed to fulfil its contractual obligations to its clients and is well positioned to manage both its internal and external risks.

Prior to joining Hatfield Philips, Stewart has held a number of roles including being responsible for developing financial instrument design and credit assessment standards as well as managing securitisation transactions from conception to successful issuance. He has worked extensively modelling and delivering complex capital structures ranging in size from £500m to £10bn designed to be attractive to investors as well as accurately predicting what regulators and rating agencies would require. Stewart has also worked on numerous projects with multiple parties including legal counsel, rating agencies, borrowers, investors and lenders to bring together competing agendas and successfully deliver transactions on time.
